Kesh Varro keeps two books. One lists every contract the Red Ledger has ever taken. The other lists every contract the Red Ledger has ever broken, and is considerably shorter.
The Galactic Blades value Varro for exactly that ratio. Varro values the Blades for the hangar bays, the retirement plan, and the understanding that nobody asks what is kept in the aft hold.
